Airport Avenue, Invercargill

Growing and installing over 16,000 natives on the main road leading into the Invercargill Airport.

The Invercargill City Council commissioned Southroads and Te Tapu o Tāne in 2022 to grow plants and install over 16,000 natives on the main road leading into the Airport.

In December 2022, both our Invercargill and Central crew collectively installed native plants grown in our nursery along Airport Avenue, Invercargill, to improve the visual amenity and visitors’ journey to and from the airport.
